Description

Southwestern Oregon’s men dropped an NWAC soccer match against Rogue, 1-0, Saturday, at Grants Pass.  The Lakers (1-7-2, 1-11-2) play at Portland on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2 p.m.  SWOCC’s women lost at Lane, 5-0, at Eugene, Saturday.  Southwestern (1-5-3, 1-6-3) is at Umpqua on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1:30 p.m.  The Laker volleyball team swept two visitors.  On Friday, SWOCC downed Umpqua, 3-0 and on Saturday, beat Rogue, 3-1.  Southwestern (7-1, 15-5) hosts Clark College on Friday, Oct. 18th, 6 p.m., and Mt. Hood on Saturday, Oct. 19th, 2 p.m.  SWOCC’s cross-country teams ran at the 49th Annual Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational Saturday at Bush Pasture Park, Salem.  The Laker men were 17th out of the 25 teams competing.  College of Idaho won with 43-points.  Sophomore Drew Lockner led Southwestern’s men in 114th (26:26.4) on the 8K course.  The Laker women ran as an incomplete team.  Freshman Brianna Dimick was 180th (22:12.2) overall on the 5K course for SWOCC.  Southwestern is scheduled to run at the George Oja Invite, Saturday, Oct. 19th, Independence.
