Southwestern Oregon’s volleyball team won one but lost two at the NWAC Volleyball Tournament at Des Moines, WA.  On Saturday, SWOCC fell to Treasure Valley, 3-0, but came back and beat Whatcom, 3-0.  Highline sent the Lakers packing with a 3-0 win on Sunday.  Southwestern finished the season, 19-12.  SWOCC’s men’s basketball team opened the 2024-25 season with three wins at Ontario, Oregon.  The Lakers beat Grays Harbor, 103-73 on Friday; Multnomah, 112-46 on Saturday; and, 103-71 over Treasure Valley on Sunday.  SWOCC (3-0) hosts Simpson University JVs on Friday, Nov. 22, 7 p.m., Prosper Hall, on the Coos Bay Campus.  Southwestern’s women competed in the Titan Classic at Lane CC, Eugene.  On Friday, SWOCC downed Pierce, 62-57; Saturday, won over Centralia, 70-61; and, on Sunday, fell to Treasure Valley, 108-54.  The Lakers (2-1) play at Clackamas, Friday, Nov. 22, 5 p.m.
