🚨Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Arrest🚨  
  
On March 30, 2025, at approximately 12:15 AM, Deputies Gray and Freerksen responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Highway 42 and Halfway Road in Coos County, Oregon. Upon arrival, deputies observed a black Chevrolet pickup truck parked at the entrance to a residence, obstructing access. Both occupants appeared intoxicated during initial contact. The driver was identified as Sebastian Nelson, age 22, and the passenger as Jayden Felton, age 21.  
  
Deputy Freerksen conducted an investigation and determined that Nelson had been driving under the influence of intoxicants. Nelson consented to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), and upon completion, he was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail for further testing. Nelson was issued a criminal citation for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII).  
  
While speaking with Felton, who remained in the vehicle, Deputy Gray noticed a shotgun inside. Further investigation revealed that Felton was on parole with stipulations prohibiting firearm possession. Felton was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked for a parole violation.  
  
The firearm was seized, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.   
  
Police actions are not indicative of guilt, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
