Less haze Saturday & beyondOn Saturday, the upper-level pattern will shift out of the southwest. Unfortunately for our friends in the Kittitas Valley, you’ll still have to contend with some hazier skies on Saturday and Sunday (given the proximity to the Wildcat Fire). For the rest of our lower elevation spots, the skies will be noticeably less hazy. The overall smoke/haze situation should improve even more with next week’s cooler and wetter weather.
2. Highs in 70s/80s for lower elevations through Sunday, down into 60s/70s past MondayHighs will mainly stay at values above average through Sunday. This’ll be excellent news for outdoor plans, but bad news for firefighters in the Cascades who are patiently waiting for some consistently cooler weather to help out with containment efforts. Thankfully, that aforementioned cooler weather is on the way for next week!
3. Multiple chances for rain next weekThe good news gets even better! Widespread rain chances could impact the region by Monday through Thursday, giving a huge boost to containment efforts of all aforementioned fires. Good stuff!
