Description

Several dozen Southridge High School students brave the pouring rain for a walkout on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, to protest ICE activity and the Beaverton School District's response to the situation.

This winter, McMinnville High School senior Abraham Romo frequently found himself distracted in class. During lectures, his brain wasn’t focused on what his teacher was saying. Instead, he was habitually worried about the presence of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in his community.
