Description
Students in Mrs. Laskey's English class got the opportunity to participate in the Elks Lodge Americanism Essay Competition. Students wrote an essay responding to the prompt: "What does patriotism mean to me?" and submitted their work to compete against other junior high students from our region. This year, we had several RCCS students with award winning essays!

The winning authors and their families attended dinner and an awards presentation at the Florence Elks Lodge.
