City of North Bend release - Knife River will close Virginia Ave. between Arthur and Cleveland Oct. 22–23 and 27 for sidewalk and paving work. Expect detours and possible delays. Knife River will be closing Virginia Avenue between Arthur Street and Cleveland Street on Wednesday, October 22, and Thursday, October 23, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to remove and replace the existing sidewalk and curb along this stretch of Virginia Avenue. Tentatively, crews will return on Monday, October 27, to complete paving work. During this phase, Virginia Avenue will be closed between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The paving schedule is weather-dependent and may be delayed later in the week due to the anticipated storm. Traffic will be detoured around the work zone via Cleveland Street, Arthur Street, and Connecticut Avenue. Drivers should plan for potential delays and use alternate routes where possible. The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this improvement project is completed. Got questions? Contact us here: www.northbendoregon.gov/contact
