Southwest Washington school district postpones start of school year by a week

The delay comes after classified union members approved a potential strike that was set to begin on Aug. 26.

Evergreen Public Schools announced Friday it will postpone the start of the 2025-26 school year by one week as negotiations continue with its classified employees union.
