Description

The Southwest Chapters of the Professional Engineers of Oregon, the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon, and Southwestern Oregon Community College (SOCC) are pleased to partner in hosting a special student career program and dinner designed to promote the engineering and land surveying professions to students on the South Coast.

This year’s event will be held Wednesday, February 18th, at the Hales Center on the SOCC campus.

Universities offering engineering and surveying programs, along with local engineering professionals, will host informational stations throughout the Hales Center. Students will have the opportunity to explore academic pathways, learn about various engineering and surveying disciplines, and speak directly with professionals working in the field.

A catered dinner will be provided for students and their advisors. During the meal, representatives from universities and practicing engineers will give presentations highlighting educational opportunities, career paths, and the importance of these professions in our communities.

High school students from Coos, Curry, and western Douglas counties are invited to attend.

We look forward to welcoming students who are curious about engineering, surveying, and the many rewarding careers these fields offer
