Multnomah County’s chair alerted commissioners this week that she has directed county staff to move forward to find a building for a future sobering center while also working by Sept. 1 to open a separate deflection center to divert drug users from the criminal justice system under the recent rollback of Measure 110, the drug decriminalization law.
