Several protests were organized in response the shooting of two people in Portland by a Border Patrol agent on Thursday, January 8, 2025.

In the wake of ongoing criticism of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the White House Friday afternoon targeted dozens of Democratic leaders who the Trump administration claims have spoken out against ICE operations.
