đ¨Sheriffâs Office and Bandon PD Swiftly Arrest Suspect in Marple Lane Shots Fired Incidentđ¨
On June 12, 2025, at about 2:40 PM, Deputy H. Francis, alongside Bandon Police Department and other Sheriffâs Office personnel, swiftly responded to a report of shots fired on Marple Lane in Bandon. A local resident had confronted a man, later identified as 45-year-old Joshua Pittman, on their property. After a brief dispute, Pittman was asked to leave and walked further up the road. The resident later checked their driveway and saw Pittman pull a silver firearm from his waistband and fire a round into the ground.
Our dedicated team, including Deputy Francis and Sergeant J. Boswell with K9 Poe, sprang into action. Chief Dhillon of Bandon PD located Pittman emerging from nearby brush, and Deputy Francis secured the firearm as evidence. Pittman was arrested for Menacing and Unlawful Use of a Weapon and taken to Coos County Jail. On June 13, he appeared in court and was released on his own recognizance.
Weâre grateful for the communityâs alertness and our strong partnership with Bandon PD, which helped resolve this incident quickly and safely. Stay vigilant, and thank you for your continued support!
