Description

A busy seismic end to the year 2024 off the coasts of Southern Oregon and Northern California.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.2-magnitude earthquake was recorded west of Langlois, in Curry County, Tuesday, Dec. 31st, on the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.  A 2.8-magntidue was also recorded west of Port Orford, between the two fault lines.  Further south, on the outer fault line, a 2.7-magntidue quake was recorded west of Ferndale, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California, and a 2.8-magntidue was recorded west of Petrolia, CA at the Southern Junction.
