Lane Co. SO release - On April 28th at 8 p.m., Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded with fire personnel to a two-vehicle crash on Territorial Highway at Old Lorane Road, involving a 2005 Ford F550 box truck and 2001 Honda moped. The moped rider was severely injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck remained on scene.  The Lane County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Team responded to investigate. Initial evidence showed the truck was driving north on Territorial Highway when it crossed into in the oncoming lane. The truck then collided with a moped travelling south. The roadway was closed while evidence was collected at the scene.  This investigation is ongoing.
