Description

A North Bend male was sentenced to Life in the Oregon State Hospital following sentencing on four murder charges at the Courthouse in Coquille.  Oen Nicholson was arrested in 2021 on the charges, but deemed unfit to stand trail due to insanity.  That was lifted last year paving the way for sentencing to proceed.  Nicholson, who was 30 at the time, stabbed to death is father in a trailer at the Mill Casino/Hotel/RV Park, and then attempted to leave in his father’s pickup.  An elderly couple attempted to stop him, but he ran them over.  He then proceeded to a Marijuana Dispensary in North Bend where he killed a clerk.
