The southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast continues to rock with seismic activity. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded Saturday, Feb. 14, west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. There was also a 2.5-magnitude, Friday, Feb. 13, west to northwest of Ferndale, CA. Also, on Sunday, Feb. 15, a 2.8-magnitide quake was recorded west of Petrolia, CA.
