BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center recently held a fundraiser for Furry Friends Therapy Dogs, Inc., by selling “Candy Grams” for $1 each for Valentine’s Day, organized by the hospital’s Employee Activities Committee. The activity was so popular that it raised $500 for the organization.
Furry Friends Therapy Dogs visit Southern Coos Hospital every Thursday. Beaux, a standard poodle, comes with his handler Jeannie Scholl. Queen, a Queensland Heeler, visits with his handler Rose Anne Gates. The visits bring smiles to patients and staff alike.
