Description
BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announced its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Year for 2024. Employees of the Year are voted on by their peers via an anonymous poll, choosing from the employees who were named Employee of the Month any time in 2024.
Awardees receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.
The Employees of the Year were announced at the SCHHC annual Holiday Party.
Non-Clinical – Kyle Gonzales
Information Systems Analyst, IS Dept.
“I’ve nominated Kyle before, and I’m nominating him again because he truly deserves this recognition,” his nomination stated.
“He consistently go above and beyond for others, always with a positive attitude. He demonstrates incredible patience, even in challenging situations, and is quick to troubleshoot and resolve issues. When asked for help, there is never any doubt that he will handle it efficiently.
“His responses are always prompt, effective, and accompanied by an attitude of, ‘Of course! Happy to help!’ -AND- Kyle’s efficiency and kindness are exceptional: always patient and helpful, a can-do problem-solver. He genuinely care about fixing an issue and once resolved, he follows up to make sure things are still running smoothly.
“I’ve observed many employees who enjoy interacting with Kyle because of his positive spirit and fun-loving attitude. He truly represents SCHHC’s mission, vision, and values,” the nomination concluded.
Clinical – Kaitlynn Winchell
Laboratory Technologist, SCHHC Clinical Lab
“Kaitlynn is very hardworking and efficient,” her nomination stated. “She rises to the challenge on a daily basis in her busy clinical setting. Often, she is on the move for her entire shift. She is responsible, kind, and dedicated to her job.”
“Kaitlynn has put in the effort to have extra education to fulfill the department needs. Despite the fact that she could make more money elsewhere, they have remained a dedicated employee for Southern Coos Hospital. All of the staff she works with have positive things to say about her.
“Recently, Kaitlynn worked her whole weekend attending to departmental needs because there were urgent patient-related tasks that needed to be done. She adds a personal touch to her work, is cheerful, always professional, demonstrates a high skill level for her position, and is an asset to their department. Her dedication to providing quality services for our patients is to be commended!” the nomination concluded.
