Fake social media accounts posing as Dr. Brian Druker, the OHSU physician-scientist who helped revolutionize leukemia treatment, promoted ivermectin as a cancer cure. When one of Oregon’s most famous doctors opened a link that a colleague sent him this spring, he expected the usual: a clip from a conference talk or a news segment about the breakthrough leukemia drug he helped develop.
