Description

Three people were killed and a police officer was wounded Sunday, May 31, 2026, after police responded to a domestic disturbance and shooting in a residential area on Evans Street in Sandy.

Garrett Thornton, the police sergeant wounded in the deadly shootings in Sandy over the weekend, is recovering and “occasionally cracking jokes” from his hospital bed, his wife Nicole Thornton said on social media.
