On Friday at Hayward Field, Roosevelt junior Aster Jones made it clear that the sprints are hers as she picked up wins in the girls 100- and 200-meter sprints at the Oregon Relays.
Jones opened Friday with a victory in the girls 200-meter dash, winning the final heat with a finish of 23.44 seconds. She was well ahead of Mt. Prospect’s Anna Niebrugge (24.12) and Lakewood’s Amaya Rice (24.5).
