Description
City of Coos Bay release - The City’s Operations Division will be performing sitework to install a new restroom in Mingus Park. The restroom will be located west of the N. 10th Street park entrance. To install the restroom and the necessary utilities, staff will be removing some vegetation near the playground. In doing this work, staff will also be power washing and painting the veteran’s cross, removing a diseased tree, and some general landscaping work. The restroom has been ordered but there is a lead time for delivery. It is anticipated that delivery will occur in late spring and the installation will be completed by summer 2026. This project is funded by the City’s Park Capital budget and a grant for Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. This project also includes the rehabilitation of the existing restrooms near the ballfields, on the east side of the N. 10th Street entrance. Should you have any questions, please contact Greg Hamblet, Operations Administrator at 541-269-1181 ext. 3541 or [email protected].
