U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden stood before protesters at Rogue Community College during his town hall meeting Aug. 18, (“Pro-Palestinian protests cut short Wyden’s southern Oregon town hall,” Aug. 20). These Oregonians were demanding that their representative take a stand for humanity. Wyden has voted against blocking arms sales that support Israel’s assault on Gaza, while claiming to fight for peace, climate justice and humanitarian values. These positions cannot coexist.
