Description
I was educated in Oregon’s public K-12 schools and universities. Now I am concerned for the future of the public education system because of new federal legislation shifting public funding to private schools via the use of vouchers. In Oregon, we can thank Gov. Tina Kotek, who recently announced that our state will not participate in this new program, (“Kotek opts Oregon out of Trump program offering up to $1,700 in education tax credits,” July 2).
