The article about Oregon being a very expensive to live mentions housing costs several times, but nowhere does it mention urban growth boundaries, (“How did Oregon become one of the most expensive places to live?” Aug. 30). Those boundaries have served the purpose of slowing urban sprawl and saving some farm land. But they are a prime mover in housing costs.
