Description

To an extent I agree with letter writer Roberta Schlechter in her comment on a previous letter written by Glennis McNeal (“Readers respond: Democrats should renounce Trump hatred,” June 8). My fellow Democrats and other progressives should moderate their hatred for the current occupant of the White House. Hatred, after all, is not good for the soul, much less for civil harmony and well-being. I try my best to resist it, despite almost daily provocations emanating from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
