Description

I coordinate the Lane County accompaniment program, where volunteers accompany community members to immigration proceedings and connect them with legal resources. Our program directly connects people to Oregon’s universal representation program, which provides no-cost immigration legal services so that people facing some of the most consequential moments of their lives don’t face them alone. Our volunteers see firsthand the impacts of President Donald Trump’s immigration arrest quotas: families separated, longtime Oregonians facing deportation, children left without parents. It’s the community that holds this work together.
