Description

As a preschool teacher in Multnomah County for 33 years, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of quality early childhood education. Preschool teachers are often first to recognize that a child may need support services beyond the scope of the classroom. We have the knowledge to help families make connections to obtain support. It is well known that early intervention is highly effective. This translates to money saved in the long run. Our smaller teacher-to-student ratio allows us to prepare children to be successful learners when they move on to kindergarten. The benefits of quality preschool are numerous.
