As a union leader with the Centennial Education Association, I was disappointed by the Oregonian/OregonLive’s article on educators using sick leave – that we are contractually entitled to – without offering meaningful context (“In and around Portland, teachers are missing more school than ever. Their bosses don’t want to talk about it,” April 11).
