Am I missing something? I support schools. I become concerned when I hear of funding shortfalls. Recent reporting leaves me wondering if schools have a funding problem or a spending problem. I question why are we seeing local budget reductions despite an “11.4% boost in state support for education during the current biennium,” (“Why these Oregon school districts are facing deep cuts, despite more state money,” April 3).
