I could not disagree more with the letter praising Elon Musk and the activity of the Department of Government Efficiency with federal agencies and their workers, (“Readers respond: Cheering on Elon Musk,” Feb. 23). It’s clear to me, and to a majority of Americans based on current public opinion polling, that Musk and his team are implementing a “smash and grab” of the U.S. government. President Donald Trump is ceding authority to a billionaire technology mogul with enormous conflicts of interest.
