Description
Count me among those Democrats who have switched parties and become Republican. In my early years I was Republican. I loved the work of Oregonians like Mark Hatfield, Bob Packwood and Tom McCall: socially progressive and fiscally conservative. Then my party moved away from those ideals. Feeling abandoned, I left it and became a Democrat during the presidency of Ronald Reagan in the 1980s.
