The end of July brought another story about a retailer - in this case, Nordstrom- questioning whether it should remain in downtown Portland, (“Department store CEO says he’s unsure ‘how long we can continue to operate in Portland,’” July 31). Shoplifting and drug use remain rampant; the exodus of retailers is obvious to anyone who works or walks downtown.

A stunning photography show case featuring local photographers will be on display in The Garden House. Many of these experts will be on hand to chat and answer questions. Discover a wide range of artwork by talented local Bay Area artists on display as you stroll through the gardens. There will be Plein Air Artists painting new masterpieces outdoors in the garden, painting many of the flowers and scenes provided by our beautiful Shore Acres!
