A recent letter writer asserted that protests have become a form of recreation and are ineffective because “billionaires are going to keep running things,” (“Readers respond: Protests have become recreation,” April 1). The writer states that his generation — which includes me — is to blame. He notes that those protesting are mostly white, but doesn’t add that many are also baby boomers.
