At the annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner April 25, our president, members of his cabinet, other senior government officials and of course, members of the press, got to experience what thousands of school children all over our country have been experiencing for the last several decades: gunfire, terror and chaos, (“Trump unharmed after shooting incident at White House correspondents’ dinner,” April 25). Our nation’s leaders reacted to the sound of gunfire exactly as they should have and as our children have been taught to do; they dived under tables and hunched down as they exited the room.
