Keith Wilson seems to be running for mayor on a simple platform, (“Keith Wilson is running for Portland mayor on one bold idea to end homelessness. Will voters buy it?” Oct. 6). Every morning, city workers will direct anyone sleeping on the street to a shelter bed for the following night. Thereafter, the person will sleep in the shelter or leave town. Why didn’t anyone else think of that?
