Description

Today, Portland Public Schools, the largest school district in Multnomah County and all of Oregon, stands at the edge of a $50 million fiscal cliff after four consecutive years of budget cuts totaling tens of millions. Meanwhile, Multnomah County’s Preschool for All program—a program we voted for and support in concept — is sitting on a $610 million reserve. The disparity is a bitter pill.
