Bravo to Central Catholic High School for taking accountability as a community for the racial slur used by a student in the baseball team’s pregame huddle April 9, (“Racist slur prompts baseball team to forfeit games, Portland high school to cancel classes,” April 19). Mistakes happen. We all understand that. But we are still accountable for those mistakes, in order to learn from them.
