Many juveniles are haunted by mistakes they made as kids, carrying the weight of a criminal record into adulthood. House Bill 2677 gives them a real chance at redemption by making it easier to expunge juvenile records. Our system doesn’t allow this to happen as clearly and effortlessly as we would like, (“Bill would make it easier for juvenile records to be expunged in Oregon,” March 11).
