The Oregonian/OregonLive Editorial Board hit the mark with its recent editorial on the investigation about whether Rep. Dwayne Yunker’s remarks on the House floor created a hostile workspace, (“Editorial: Politics is not a ‘safe space,’” Aug. 3). However offensive or impolite Yunker’s comments may be, the Legislature should not weaponize its internal grievance process to police speech delivered during floor sessions or committee proceedings.
