Thanks to the efforts of a few dedicated citizens, Portland’s beloved elk sculpture may soon stand again in its original position on Southwest Main Street after being vandalized, (“Iconic Portland elk statue set to return with upgrades; construction will disrupt traffic in downtown,” July 4).
