In their eagerness to protect transgender-identifying people from the Trump administration, my fellow Democrats in the Oregon Legislature are actually on the verge of hurting them – by blocking critical research into reproductive and gender affirming health care, (“Oregon bill would expand protections for access to abortion and gender-affirming care,” Feb. 4). That’s the unfortunate reality of House Bill 4088.
