It seems Portland Mayor Keith Wilson has assumed the title of Chief Gaslighter. Recently he assured us that he has all but eliminated people sleeping in doorways and under bridges. On my drive along Northeast Broadway this morning, I saw five separate homeless campers in less than a mile, (“Despite mayor’s assurances, more people than ever are homeless in Portland,” April 21).
