Oregon’s Office of Developmental Disability Services recently “clarified” that Medicaid-funded direct support professionals are no longer permitted to drive the developmentally disabled children they are employed to support. This has been a devastating blow, made worse by the state’s gaslighting claims that this rule has always existed and is simply being enforced more rigorously.
