The Democrats made a big mistake by acting powerless and weak during President Donald’s Trump’s address to Congress last week (“Trump promises to keep up ‘swift and unrelenting action’ in speech to Congress,” March 4). Successful resistance to Trump’s illegal acts and inveterate lying will not happen by being absent from the room or sitting quietly with false decorum. The MAGA crowd owned the night and the spotlight in front of the American people and the world.
