The recent news regarding BottleDrop relocations ignores a predictable reality: when these facilities exist, they bring profound challenges to the surrounding neighborhoods, (“Closure of controversial Delta Park BottleDrop begs question: Where will canners go next?” July 31). As a Kenton resident who has witnessed the aftermath of outages at the Delta Park location — seeing displaced activity overwhelming the MAX as BottleDrop users traveled east towards Northeast 122nd Avenue — I am deeply concerned about the ripple effects on East Portland.
