Description

I enjoyed the article by Jamie Hale on the Louis Bunce airport painting controversy, (“One of Portland’s most controversial paintings is back at PDX,” June 17). I was a teenager when the painting was originally installed. One of the comments from that time has stuck with me through all these years: “It’s like an explosion in a shingle factory.” I just thought that was perfect.
