I was standing on Naito Parkway April 5 amid a river of protestors when I heard a chant, one that reverberated all across America that weekend: “This is what democracy looks like,” (“People gather across Oregon to protest Trump policies,” April 5). The importance of this declaration has never resonated more for me than it did that day, as the parade of thousands of proud Americans marched by.
