EUGENE — Austin Novosad was not even committed to Oregon until late December 2022. Less than 16 months later the redshirt-freshman is the longest tenured quarterback at UO in a room that added two of the most prominent transfers in all of college football this offseason in Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore.
So goes personnel management, especially at quarterback, in college football in the age of the transfer portal and name, image and likeness (NIL).
