Description
A 5.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded off of Western Douglas Co., Sunday, Sept. 6. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located on the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. A second quake, on the inner fault line was also recorded Sunday. According to the USGS, a 2.6-magnitude quake was located west of Dunes City in Western Lane Co. Also, on Friday, a 2.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded just inside the closest fault line, west of Yachats in Lincoln Co.
